This super cool resin casting project lets you create a detailed 3D Skull with hollow eye sockets, nose and lifelike teeth. By combining pigments, dyes or objects with resin, you can make a lifelike skull that’s truly you! You can drill a recess in the top of the skull to hold a tea light or candle or use it as a flower vase.

The Artisan Silicone Skull mold is made of high quality silicone that offers superior elasticity and tear strength. This mold is flexible, durable and can be used again and again. The smooth interior gives the skull a polished look and makes removing the casting mold quick and easy. To achieve bubble-free casting, use a pressure pot for casting.

Casting without a Pressure Pot-
If you want to give casting a try but don’t have a pressure pot, follow the recommendations below to minimize bubbles.

When pouring parts A and B for mixing, pour the resin down the side of the mixing cup
Stir slowly, making sure to press the end of the stir stick against the bottom of the measuring cup while mixing.
After mixing is complete, let the resin set for approximately about 2 minutes. Using a kitchen or propane torch, gently heat the surface of the resin to help bring bubbles to the surface. Use a toothpick to pop the bubbles.
For bubble-free casting, use a pressure pot.
