Considered by top professionals to be the best quality casting resin available, Alumilite® Clear Slow Casting Resin offers nearly double the open time (time from mixing to when it begins to thicken) of standard Alumilite® resin. The longer 12-minute work time allows ample time to mix material, fill molds, and blend colors without feeling rushed. As with standard Alumilite®, Slow Casting Resin produces a high-impact, optically clear casting that can be dyed or pigmented. Woodturners prefer Alumilite® as it is easy to turn, sand, and polish to a high gloss.

We highly recommend pressure casting in a quality pressure pot for bubble-free, optimum results. When casting without a pressure pot, slowly mix materials (including pigments/dyes) to minimize visible bubbles in the finished product.

Mixing is done by combining equal parts by weight of A and B. Measuring accurately is critical as off-mixing (unequal amounts of A and B) will result in a hazy or frosted appearance.
