Perfect for beginning turners, school shops and those of which safety is a primary concern, the Oneway® Safe Driver drive center provides sufficient grip to safely drive between center stock, while it's non-aggressive ring design allows the work to slip or stop if a tool catch occurs. A spring loaded center point centers the work on the drive and prevents splitting when tailstock pressure is tightened.

Robert Sorby® Stebcenter Crown Drive Centers feature a serrated drive ring with spring loaded center point that offers many advantages over traditional drive and revolving centers. *Safe: Light pressure from the tailstock allows the Stebcenter to drive the work while allowing the work piece to stop in the event of a tool catch making this ideal for beginning turners and students *Flexible: By varying tail stock pressure, the work piece can be inspected without shutting off the lathe, simply back off the tailstock until the teeth disengage the work piece. This allows the center point to hold the work in place with the lathe still running. Apply heavy pressure with the tailstock and you have a super aggressive drive center that won't slip. *Won't Split: The circular head design prevents splitting by distributing pressure evenly around the serrated drive ring. Use on small spindles and plastics without fear of splitting or chipping the work. *No. 2 MT

The Robert Sorby® Angle Sander features an articulated head that allows you to adjust the angle of the sanding pad to a wide range of positions. The hook-and-loop backing pad is made of high quality foam, that won„t break down and offers excellent flexibility to conform to the tightest curves. It will accept all hook-and-loop sanding discs. The sanding pad is driven by the work piece being sanded. Sanding near the outside edge of the disc causes it to rotate faster, sanding nearer to the center results in a slower speed. The sanding shank is fitted to the sander with a bronze bushing assembly that will last for years if lightly oiled from time to time.
Eliminate time wasted changing centers by mounting a Robert Sorby® Stebdrive Crown Drive Center directly in the lathe chuck. Designed specifically for use in standard four jaw chucks, the Stebdrive offers all the benefits of the popular Stebcenter while eliminating the need to remove the chuck for between center turning.

The Apprentice Dead Center features a 60 degree work point that's ideal for turning mandrel projects between centers without the need for a mandrel provided your project uses stepped bushings. By eliminating the mandrel, the bushings are able to run true to axis of the lathe centers so the barrel ends are perfectly square for a better fit.
For finishing projects with a CA finish, remove the bushings and mount the barrel directly between centers. This eliminates the hassle of trying to remove glued-on bushings from the project without damaging the finish.
The Apprentice Dead Center is also a great way for beginner woodturners to drive material between centers safely and efficiently. In the event of a tool catch, the friction drive center allows the stock to stop spinning until the tool is removed.

Quickly mark the center of the workpiece with the Precision Machine™ Center Marker. It is often necessary to know the exact center point on the base of a bowl, particularly when the bowl will be put on a vacuum chuck and the bottom turned to final shape, sanded and finished. If the exact center is marked, the tailstock can be moved up and the cone center put in the indented center point on the base. This will center the bowl accurately.
The center marker collar is designed to fit inside the threads on a chuck or faceplate. The center point slides through the collar and will contact the base of the bowl. When the center point is tapped, the cone point will leave a small indentation marking the true center of the base. This will allow the precise centering of the bowl on a vacuum chuck.
