Comments On Mar 11, 2015:After watching Ted Sokolowski's dvd on metal inlaying, I felt fully schooled and prepared to start doing metal inlaying on several of my ongoing projects. I also work with "questionable" wood that has obvious defects that wood putty will only worsen. By adding powdered metal in these places, it not only cures the ills of bad wood but enhances the piece beyond what it would have bee had there been no defect to start with. This process will definitely be helpful in increasing the value of woodworking of all types. I highly recommend this, as well as Ted's other excellent dvds. Rob

Comments On Nov 30, 2013:This is the first of Ted's DVDs that I've purchased and I was very pleased. The DVD is well produced and provides a lot of helpful information. Ted approaches the subject in a logical fashion and takes time to explain and demonstrate each of the steps he follows to produce the beautiful results that are characteristic of his work. Based on my experience, I plan to buy other of his DVDs.

Comments On Apr 24, 2013:This is the second Ted Sokolowski DVD I've watched (the first was on pepper mill building / design) and both are outstanding! As a professional educator, I am truly impressed with the thoughtful, sequential, and informative approach Ted takes with his instructional DVDs. Additionally the cinematography is top-notch, providing clear views of each step of the way.
At first I hesitated before ordering the Inlay DVD--I thought, "this doesn't look all that hard and I could probably figure it out on my own." While I may have eventually learned how to inlay without this DVD, I would have wasted time, resources, and money doing so. On the DVD, Ted shows how to inlay safely and efficiently, going over techniques and tools that really help to augment the process.
Overall, I consider this DVD to be an excellent purchase and look forward to more Sokolowski Studios releases!
