A bit hurried - "This is how I do it".

Comments On Dec 02, 2014:I'd like to know why something is done, not just how the author does it. Knowing why sets the foundation for applying skills acquired to other tasks. It would help you apply what you have learned to tools and projects not covered in the specific book or video.
That is not the author's approach. He also places excessive emphasis on the skew chisel, a relatively advanced turner's tool, which diminishes the benefit to the beginner or a bit more experienced turner while also creating frustration.
I do not recommend this book.
