      by Michael O'Donnell
Turning green wood has been O'Donnell's specialty since 1981. Thisbook shows how to make six projects from green wood, fresh from the log. Using cross grain and end-grain techniques, the stunning close-up shots show how he turns thin translucent bowls, some with natural edged rims. Also shown is turning a functional bowl using microwave drying before finishing it.

Your 1st or 2nd turning book, great mini lathe pro

Comments On Sep 05, 2013:This should be your 1st or 2nd turning book. It is the prequel, the detailed background information, that most turning DVDs can't spend the time on. The projects are great especially if you have a mini lathe. With this book you will never run out of turning blanks - even small branches can be used.
