Oneway Wolverine Sharpening System

Maintaining the Wolverine Sharpening System

Our Youtube Channel

The Basic System consists of two bases, V-arm support and the platform. The two bases allow a base to be installed at each wheel on your grinder, so the accessories can be used at either wheel. The V-arm Support supports the handle end of the woodturning or carving tool while the cutting edge is in contact with the grinding wheel. The cutting bevel is determined by moving the V-arm towards or away from the grinding wheel, then holding the V-arm in position by tightening the cam lock. The platform is a 3" x 5" x 1/4" thick steel plate and is used when sharpening skew chisels, wood chisels, scrapers or gouges. The platform is fully adjustable so you can set it to the required angle.
    Instructions included. Grinder not included.

Best way to sharpen

Comments On Dec 02, 2016:I love this set. It's so easy to get my tools sharp fast while keeping the same grind. No excuse to not have sharp tools when you have this.

Great system and easy to use

Comments On Apr 29, 2016:On my first trip to craft supplies when I asked how to keep my tools sharp, I was shown this system which I then purchased. I would be lost with out it as it is the simplest and most user friendly one I have ever used.

Best sharpening system for the money

Comments On Apr 24, 2016:I had a Tormek T-4, a very expensive system especially after adding the jigs. It took far too long to sharpen my tools and forget about grinding a new edge, it takes forever. The Wolverine is easy to set up and when combined with a low speed grinder like the Rikon also sold by Craft Supplies, it's unbeatable. For just over half of what my Tormek setup cost with the equivalent jigs - skew and varigrind - I get perfectly sharpened tools FAST! My only complaint is that it doesn't come with the screws for the baseplates, but those were cheap enough to buy when I bought the nuts & bolts for mounting it to a stand. I'm very impressed with the Wolverine system and wish I would have gotten from the start instead of wasting so much time on the Tormek.

Great quality issues with Rikon grinder fitting

Comments On Dec 12, 2015:As everyone already knows this is a great product. However, if you plan on using the Rikon slow speed eight inch grinder like Woodcraft sales, be warned the lower parts of the grinder wheel guards will not allow the flat plate mount to come all the way to close the gap between the wheel and plate. I just took a hacksaw and cut them to clear. Just keep this in mind.

High Quality System

Comments On Jan 05, 2015:The components are top quality and the system is well designed. They include a DVD showing how to use the system, there are videos that show how to sharpen each type of tool. You will need to mount your bench grinder to a piece of plywood so you can align the channels with your grinder. (Accessing the mounting holes on my grinder required a universal adapter for my socket wrench).

easy to use for beginner

Comments On Dec 29, 2014:After taking my time to set it up on the grinder which required a base etc. I was able to sharpen my tools easily and with precision. It takes a while to set-up plus a trip to the hardware store for the proper screws and lag bolts, but it was all worth it!

Comments On Sep 12, 2012:Great addition to my shop. I've always had some difficulty repeating angle on skews and finger nail gouges. This system takes all of the mystery out of sharpening. I would like to see something for the micro tools – so far I haven’t found a repeatable way of doing tools with short shafts.
