Nice Smock

Comments On Dec 24, 2019:I just started wood turning and soon realized that shavings will go everywhere, especially inside my shirt, which ticks the wife off when I remove my shirt and dump shavings in the bedroom.
This shirt eliminates 99% of this and adds an extra layer when it's cool in my shop. When it's cold outside, my shop hovers between 50 and 60 degrees, cold enough to wear a sweatshirt initially, but as I move around, lift stuff, I get hot. This shirt provides a perfect layer to keep me comfortable and my clothing dust free.

Good value and works like it should

Additional Comments On May 01, 2019:I got the lightweight smock on sale with free shipping and free embroidering, so I had them put my name on it. This smock is perfect for keeping chips and sawdust out of my shirt pocket and down the neck of my shirt. It makes clean up a breeze. It is very well constructed and thoughtfully designed to work great for wood turners like me. The pockets in the back of the smock work great, have small items readily available and not subject to getting filled with wood chips.

Too many Craft Supplies logos

Comments On Jan 28, 2019:I am not one to wear clothes with logos or monograms. I neglected to notice that this smock is a walking advertisement for Craft Supplies USA with logos on sleeve and chest. When I wear it to craft shows to display my monogram, customers ask me if I work for Craft Supplies. I just tell them that I don't and am looking for a way to cover it. up. Aside from that objection, the product does as advertised. Wood chips slide right off the material and the zip up neck prevents them from getting into my shirt.

Great material

Comments On Sep 22, 2018:I bought this smock as my first one because of the light weight, breathable material. I love the materia,l fit, and overall look of the product. The only reason this smock didn't get 5 stars for me is that some wood chips would find their way into all 3 pockets. I just wish there were flaps/ pocket covers. Other than that I love this smock.

great smock

Comments On Jul 23, 2018:In Japan, there are few people who still woodwork lathes as DIY. For this reason, there are few sales of such clothes at present. Today's July temperature is 35 degrees celcius, which is very hot this year, so this clothes is useful for a comfortable woodwork lathe's actual work. Thank you very much.

Poor pocket design

Comments On Jun 24, 2018:The pencil pocket on the left chest is not the best place. It fills with shavings due to the way we rough out wood, especially bowls. The flap that extends back down into the pocket is not sewn down and when you try to empty out the shavings, that same flap acts as a check valve to prevent the easy emptying of the pocket. To avoid the aggravation I had the pencil pocket sewn shut, but that could have been avoided in the manufacturing process by sewing the flap down before attaching the pocket. Not so easy after the very stretchy fabric has the pocket sewn on. I have a pretty comfortable smock, but no useful pencil pocket.

What's My Name?

Comments On Oct 12, 2016:This smock is great except I should have had my name embroidered on it. Rookie mistake. Be sure and zip it all the way up or you'll have sawdust inside your shirt like me. I use a clothes pin to keep it on a hanger 'cause this thing is as slippery as snot.

Works Great!

Comments On Apr 07, 2015:I've only used it a few times, but it works well. No chips getting down the collar. It's not hot yet, but it feels lightweight enough that I'm expecting to stay comfortable this summer. Overall I'm very happy with the product.

Lightweight Smock great for warmer climates

Comments On Feb 23, 2015:Just received new lightweight woodturners smock. Fabric is light and breathable. This will be my go-to garment for my warmer weather turning. Rear pockets nicely placed to not collect shavings. Zips up all the way to the closed collar, another nice feature. Front pencil pocket is appreciated. Would be nice to have a sizing chart as a guide. I guessed at my size and happened to get close enough this time.
