Good thickness for pen finishes

Comments On Mar 03, 2020:This product is not as thin as some thin CA glues, and I think that's perfect. it spreads evenly but does not require as many coats to build up a nice finish.

The CA to use for wood or hybrids

Comments On Apr 23, 2019:Apply four coats of thin and then Pen Finish and the results will impress. I use 8-16 coats of Pen Finish with a light spray of accelerator after each coat. Donâ??t sand until all coats are applied. Sand with 400 and perhaps 600 grit and buff. The shine is smooth, liquid glossy without white spots. I've tried medium CA and the results are inferior for me. I now buy this product in the 16 ounce size; every pen or other wood item gets it.

Comments On Oct 28, 2016:excellent workability on the lathe, doesnt dry ultra quickly which is nice. leaves a nice smooth finish. best used with a sanding sealer on most open grain woods.

Hands down the best for pen finishing

Comments On Aug 07, 2016:Many believe there is no difference among CA glues for finishing. With the exception of Loc-Tite, which stinks, I felt the same way until I tried this brand. I was actually upset that Craft Supplies didn't carry my regular brand, so I reluctantly bought this one as I was making a good sized order & didn't want to put in an order just for CA at another website or make the 1.5 hour round trip to the woodworking store. I'm glad I chose to purchase this! I'm not sure what the distilling does for the glue, but it goes on smoother with no lines or high spots than any other I've tried. It also has a nice shine when properly applied before sanding, although wetsanding & polishing is still needed. This is the only CA I'll use for finishing pens & shaving brushes now.
