Jumbo blanks useful for lots of projects

Comments On Jan 31, 2018:I use these jumbo blanks for other projects than pens, and I'm really pleased with how my projects turn out. The jumbo versions don't deform as much during the stabilization process, so they are easier to square up and you don't end up with as much waste to rough out. The degree of stabilization is apparently excellent, because I've been able to make some very finely detailed forms even in burls. I'd like to keep seeing more kinds of woods offered in this jumbo format.

Redwood Burl is stunning!

Comments On Aug 07, 2016:I've been more than happy with the pen blanks I've purchased here, but I've got to say the jumbo Redwood Burl may be the most beautiful pen I've ever made! Amazing color and fairly easy to turn. I still can't believe how beautiful it is, far better than the redwood I purchased somewhere else. I'm getting ready to buy more as soon as I'm done with my reviews. You've gotta try this one. Or maybe not, that will leave more for me! I really can't say enough good things about how nice this Redwod Burl is.

Amazing grain patterns and colors

Comments On Dec 03, 2014:These are incredibly beautiful wood blanks. I've used the Bocote, Cocobolo, and Spalted Maple blanks and they're all incredible. They all turn and finish differently so take your time at first when gauging how the wood reacts to turning. Once you try any of these, you'll be daydreaming of potential projects just so you have an excuse to buy more. I know I will be.
