Mylands® Melamine Lacquer is quick drying, durable, hard wearing and is easily applied with the lathe running. It produces a semi-gloss finish that resists moisture and heat. This is an ideal finish for small turnings such as pens, boxes, spindles and small items in general. For best results, seal the workpiece using Mylands Cellulose Sanding Sealer. 16.2 oz.

    Nice semi-gloss finish for pens

Comments On Feb 25, 2020:I bought this for pens. I don't personally like the hard-plastic look of CA and friction polish is just not as durable. So far, I like this, It is easy to apply several coats with very little drying time between coats. Not a super-shiny finish, but it looks natural and makes the pens actually feel like wood.

Excellent Product. Dries Quickly. Easy to use!

Comments On Jan 17, 2020:This is a great finish that is simple to apply and dries very fast. It is the perfect lacquer to apply in a cold shop to finish something quickly without waiting days for coats to dry. Be sure to use cellulose sanding sealer first. Buffs nicely with the Beall system afterwards and looks great on maple and walnut. Makes finishing easy.

Even I get consistently good results.

Comments On Oct 19, 2016:Dead easy to apply, dries in seconds, and produces a gloss finish that will catch a buyer's eye quicker than anything else I have tried.
