Finally found one that works good!

Comments On Jan 12, 2023:I've been disappointed with what I thought should be the good ones in the past. My frustration was in the actual use once the project was completed. This mechanism works very well in the kitchen. Some look really neat but don't work half as good. Others I thought were top of the line looked good but performed poorly. This one works great, wish I spent more time on my end for the design now.

The best mill EVER!

Comments On Oct 06, 2017:I have used these mills for over 10 years and have made more then 220 grinders. Yes, that's over 220 grinders. And Craft supply always has the best price. Because the adjustment is on the bottom, the top can be any shape you desire.

Excellent peppermill mechanism

Really great mechanism

Comments On Jan 27, 2014:I made both a salt and a pepper grinder with these for a Christmas gift. The mechanisms work really well. Its easy to adjust the coarseness over a large range. The mills are very effective, you get a lot of salt or pepper per turn.
Two minor issues with using them for salt. First, a bit of salt always seems to leak out when you set the mill down. Second, it can be a bit hard to turn the mill with salt in it. You need to make sure the mill parts are securely anchored into both the main body and the cap, and you should do a mill design that has a large diameter cap that is easy to grab. Neither of these issues applies to using it for pepper.
But these are by far the best mills I have ever used. Highly recommended!
