Turners Select™ Crushed Stone Powder is ideal for filling cracks or voids in turnings to produce a striking decorative effect. It can also be used in conjunction with crushed stone of the same kind to act as a coloring agent in the adhesive.

If your project will take more than 1 oz of stone, it is recommended to mix all packages together to ensure a consistent color throughout your entire project.

Great granules

Comments On Jan 27, 2020:I've been using the powdered stone, brass, and copper a lot for the last couple years. That material has completely changed the way I look at knots, cracks, voids, and even insect damage where a decorative touch can turn a "defect" into a highlight. In addition, the epoxy binder stabilizes loose sections of knots and renders cracks less likely to break away. The availability of different colors keeps that process from becoming boring.

Great Product!

Comments On May 29, 2014:I bought two bags of the turquoise and I have done a number of projects with 3 bowls that had a lot of cracks in it and the crushed stone with CA glue worked great for finishing! It gives any project a nice finish and works great!

Works Great for inlays

Comments On Dec 02, 2013:I used the Malachite powder and it does wonders to fill in worm holes or other inlays around pens. The stone powders work great with thin CA glue. The Jet Black powder however is very fine, and lots of practice and patience is required when working with the finer powders. It is very pricy, but does add character to your turnings. A lot clients don't know about this product and scratch their heads wondering how you got stone to be very thin. This is a must product to have in your bag-o-secrets.
