Comments On Sep 17, 2023:I am still fairly new to pen making. I have been using micro mesh on my acrylics and ca finished pens, along with a polish. I was getting good results from that process. I just so happened to see a video on the 3 part micro magic polishing wax so I decided to give it a try. All I can say is WOW! I am blown away from the results I am getting from this product. I will not be going back to using micro mesh again. This process is actually faster than micro mesh. I highly recommend this to anybody. Thanks Crafts Supplies USA for an exceptional product!

Comments On Oct 05, 2022:I ordered this 3 piece set along with scratch free polish. I started using the 4 products on CA pen blanks and they turn out glass shiny. Works great on acrylic blanks also. I wet sand the ca to 600 grit and then apply each of the 4 products. No more micro mesh for me.

Additional Comments On Mar 24, 2022:I purchased this to use for acrylics but, I don't have any acrylic projects I am working on currently. I have used this for wood. I first apply Dr Kirk's scratch free after sanding to 600 grit. Then I apply each of these steps. After that it moves to the buffing wheels. This process provides a nice wax build up finish very fast. I would not say it is a high glossy shine. It is more of a medium shine and is what I would expect from a wax finish. It seems like it should be a pretty durable finish. I've used this for red elm & box alder so far and will continue to use it on other woods as well. Looking forward to eliminating the micro mess sanding on acrylics as that is a time consuming process.

Comments On Jul 19, 2019:I was skeptical of this finishing wax eliminating the great finish obtained by using the 9-step Micro Mesh wet sanding technique, but I was overwhelmingly wrong. I wet sand 400, then 600 with sanding sponges at 1,500 rpm, stopping to lateral sand at the end of each grit. Then using the Kirk's Polishing wax on blue paper towels at about 3,000 rpm, I proceed through the 3 waxes. After the first one you would be tempted to stop, as such a shine is noticed, but don't. Proceed through the next two for excellent results. I originally finished with HUT Ultra Gloss as always have done so. But upon review I even stopped that last step as saw no noticeable improvement over just the 3-step process. Has drastically reduced my completion time on Acrylic pens. I have not tried on stabilized nor CA finishes as yet. This won't disappoint you and wish I had not waited so long to try. Definitely will reorder but a set looks like it will last quite a while.

Comments On Jul 02, 2018:I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical but decided to try it. Does everything it claims to do. I especially like that it eliminates the need for all the MicroMesh sanding. I have used this on wood with CA finish, acrylic and corian. Works great on all of them,

Comments On Dec 20, 2017:I've been turning for over 15 years Dr Kirk's make polishing so much easier. It has other uses though I use it for polishing hazy film on the head lights on my wife's car. First I use toothpaste to, get the oxidation off then the Dr Kirk's 3 piece set they look new my wife said see can see better at night now just thought I'd pass that tip on try it. Love it when I find other uses for things.

Comments On Nov 26, 2015:Kirk really did a great job in creating this outstanding product! It is sooo much easier, quicker and less mess than wet sanding. I use it almost exclusively on all acrylic turnings, and have used it on ebony successfully. It was a learning curve to realize a little Polishing Wax goes a long way. No need to smother the project with the product. The containers are a bit difficult to open but all in all an excellent addition to my turning supplies.

Comments On Oct 02, 2015:I've started to use the Dr. Kirk's micro Magic Polishing wax and find it is the best finish I've ever used for my pens. It works great on acrylics, trustone, and any thing with a CA finish.

Comments On Jul 19, 2015:This stuff is wonderful. It's designed mainly for acrylics, but I've found that it works well on pretty much any material. I like to use it on super dense woods like ironwood or ebony and it brings out a great shine. Just remember you only need a tiny TINY amount of wax each time you use it.

Comments On Apr 12, 2015:If you don't care for having to use all of the super fine sanding papers before you use a polishing agent of one type or another...you will like the Dr. Kirk's Micro Magic polishing wax three stage set. Once you have sanded your project to at least 600 to 800 grit sand paper...depending upon the material you are working with...you should be able to start with step #1 of this wax polish, and work your way to step #3, and end up with a great looking finish on your project.
However, note that of course...the finer you sand before start using any polishing wax, the less time it will take to get the finish that you want. This product is definitely worth the money, and a little dab goes a long way, so the small containers actually last much longer than you would think. I recommend that you give this product a try.

Comments On Apr 01, 2015:I use these waxes on most all of my acrylic (and CA finished) projects. It leaves a very good shine, especially if coupled with a plastic polish after the blue wax. That being said, I do think wet sanding under power then manually cross wet sanding with the micro mesh pads produces a better surface. That doesn't stop me from using these... I just save the longer process for when it's absolutely necessary.

Comments On Oct 15, 2014:This product is fantastic for acrylics and CA glue finishes. I used to do wet sanding on these materials. The water was messy, and the sandpapers were expensive and messy. With these, it's 1, 2, 3 and I'm done! I love it!

Comments On Feb 24, 2014:Easy to use and good packaging. I used all three and they work great. I will buy them, if needed in future. It is better than wet sanding, which sometimes makes a mess on surrounding work and also uses expensive sandpaper
