Comments On Feb 28, 2015:Someone suggested this tool as a way to sand the inside of boxes. After trying the 10" model, I can say it is a vast improvement over finger sanding. My method is to take a 3/4" or so piece of thick, firm foam (I use a bit of the interlocking edge from my cheap standing cushion), fold in half, wrap a 1" piece of sandpaper around the foam, then grip the 'open' side with the end of the clamp. Since they have a click-lock feature, once loaded, it's very stable. Then it's very simple to get the bottom, transition zone or side walls, just by adjusting the angle at which the sandpaper wad is clamped. Bottom corners on flat bottomed boxes are a little tricky, but manageable with practice. The clamp works well on small hollow forms, but the width of the tool towards the finger holes requires a biggish opening. Order a longer clamp than you think you need for the depth of small opening hollow forms. (Of course, if you work through a small enough hole, you won't have to sand!)
Not only does this clamp allow faster, easier, and in my hands better, sanding, it saves wear and tear on fingertips and all my nails are full length again!
