Comments On Nov 20, 2016:Sfter turning several dozen slim line pens I was ready to step up my game. I leaped into big pens with this kit. I knew I wanted something that would be recognized as a great quality but wanted to keep it simple. This kit was a winner.
The instructions were easy to follow. The kit is perfect for an entry level pen maker because there is no need to line up anything other than the wood grain.
I haven't wanted to part with it because it looks so great. I always tell people the sale on it is pending so I can make another one. If you're selling pens, this is a great kit to step up your game with.

Comments On Sep 26, 2014:I have turned hundreds of pens during the past seven years, and I'm confident, that I've found the best quality fountain pen kit in the Artisan Gentlemen's Fountain Pen Kit from Craft Supplies. I especially enjoy the Rhodium kit for my pens in my small pen shop Gunnars Garage. Short of turning solid silver pens, this kit takes the top position. It's the same quality as the Statesman kits, but a simpler design, which is preferred here in Scandinavia, where my business is. Turning a thick rollerball or fountain pen is not much more difficult than turning a simple slimline pen. It takes only a little more time, but your customers fall in another category, and if you have access to the right markets - this pen will give you a higher profit. Also - if your skills are adequate - your pens will gain more fame, more admiration and more returning customers. Happy receivers of gifts will spread the word, and you will experience strangers mailing you, to hear if you can turn a pen for them, for a gift. That is such a rewarding feeling. So - if you havn't done so yet, I can only recommend, that you start turning pens from the more expensive kits. And the Artisan Gentlemen's kits are right up there - where your skills will show off and impress!
