    Great spalted pattern

Comments On Jan 08, 2017:This looks great - the dark lines of spalting are a nice contrast to the cream-colored wood. I've made both openers and high end pens with this and they were very well received. Makes a very striking finished item. Don't forget: You need to wear dust protection when working with spalted wood.

    Beautiful and turns easily

Comments On Jun 10, 2016:Everyone loves this wood. I made a salt and pepper set, and a shaving set with brush, awesome results. Turns and finishes great. Any spalted wood that isn't stabilized isn't going to be as strong as nonspalted, so keep that in mind on projects that use a stopper mandrel, as the threads can strip easily.

    great turning wood

Comments On Oct 24, 2015:I have made bowls with this wood and it turns and finishes very well. Is a hit with customers, as the finished product has lots of character. I have a salad bowl I made 10 years ago, I use it often and it still looks great.

A beautiful wood with various line patterns

Comments On May 27, 2015:Tamarind is an easy wood to turn and sand. With it characteristic spalting and grub holes this wood produces very impressive pens and bottle stoppers. All my customers love Tamarind.
