Powermatic 3520C Lathe Overview
Powermatic 3520C Lathe (by Powermatic)
Comments On Mar 31, 2021:Recently upgraded my Grizzly lathe to a Powermatic 3520C after having tried a buddies 3520B and falling in love. Very excited about the capabilities and looking forward to trying some outboard turning. Lathe shipped directly from JPW Powermatic and arrived in a little over a week. My only complaints are that the lathe arrived with a decent amount of scratches and dings including a few micro scratches on the lathe bed itself. Not sure if mine was unboxed by someone previously or if it's just damaged from internal boxes shifting around. Additionally the black pin-strip tape at the bottom of one of the legs was dangling slightly when received, I tried to get it to re-adhere but ultimately I think I'll just have to pull it off. The 4" risers also don't sit completely flush with the legs and there's a small 1/16" lip on either side. That being said, all things considered still pretty happy, going to contact Powermatic and see if they can at least give me some touchup paint.

Comments On Oct 13, 2020:I upgraded from a benchtop 1221vs Jet lathe and boy-o-boy is this a step change! The extra weight makes it rock steady when the benchtop jet would have shaken and danced across the shop. the Speed Control is buttery smooth. The banjo and tail drive gears lock in tight without any effort which was always an issue when turning anything bigger then a pen on the benchtop.
Lastly, Craft Supply customer service checked in with me every step of the way!

Comments On Jan 22, 2018:I'm extremely happy with my purchase of the new 3520C all the upgrades were worth the wait. The new banjo is solid with a new pinch clamp that works well. Very smooth solid machine this will be the last lathe I have to buy.
