- These premium lipped brad point bits are made from high speed steel and stay sharp up to 10 times longer that carbon steel bits. Manufactured in the USA, they feature a lipped cutting spur that scores the perimeter of the hole greatly reducing tear out on wood and plastics. Not only do they stay sharper longer than an economy bit, they are also longer in length making them perfect for pen making. These drill bits are some of the best we have ever used.
