    Handy to have in transitions

Comments On Dec 31, 2014:I bought this reducer to be able to use my old tools while I updated to the new size after buying a new lathe. It works well, it does rob a couple of inches off of your lathe length would be the only draw back

    Life saver

Comments On Nov 08, 2014:I could not fathom purchasing another drill chuck right now and this little inexpensive adapter was worth it. It does stick out of my lathe quite a bit, but I have adapted.

Required modification for use with small lathe

Comments On Dec 18, 2012:I was switching from a very old 1MT lathe to a new(er) Rikon 70-050VS so I puchased the reducer so I could continue using the older 1MT centers while I bought newer 2MT replacements. Upon inserting the reducer I found that it bottomed out in the headstock before making proper contact around the collar, but this was easily corrected by cutting 7/8" off the bottom (most of the black part). After that it worked perfectly. This issue probably only exists with specific smaller lathes.
