These jaws make it easier for shaping the base of bowls by holding the work away from the headstock. The end of the jaws also have an interior and exterior dovetail taper along with a series of internal serrations that provide a tenacious grip on a spigot.

Well made jaw set

Comments On Apr 21, 2016:Record Power's Long Nose Jaws are add a good deal of flexibility to your blank holding arsenal. The jaws hold the work away from the chuck, giving you more room to reach the work. The jaws are slightly larger in diameter than Record Power's standard jaws, but provide the same type of compression and expansion holding ability. In addition, below the internal dovetail, the jaws are serrated. This allows exceptional gripping power on longer tenons.
