The 4-1/2", Oneway® Stronghold Chuck is an excellent choice for woodturners who need a heavy duty chuck that is capable of holding large diameter work. With No. 2 jaws, this chuck will comfortably handle work up to 14" in diameter. Larger work is easily turned using larger jaws.
Includes: Threaded insert,T-handle tightening key, 4 mm hex wrench, and owner's manual

Better than anything else on the market

Comments On Sep 17, 2014:This is my second Stronghold Chuck on which I intend to keep permanently mounted the Mega Flat jaws for bottom finishing. I originally purchased the first one based on size, reputation, and the large range of motion available with a single set of jaws which significantly reduced the amount of time I spent changing jaws. I felt that I needed a way to quickly finish the bottom of a bowl after the top was done and didn't want to spend time swapping jaws in and out after each operation. The cost of the extra body was a reasonable price to pay to save valuable time. Before I purchased the first of these chucks, I had read several reviews that criticized it for being too powerful and damaging tenons. I have never had any problem with either tenon failure or inverted bowls cracking because of the gripping force. A great product!
