Details

Manufactured exclusively for Craft Supplies USA to our specifications, these custom Norton® 3X™ Grinding Wheels are guaranteed to outlast hardware store 3X™ wheels while cutting fast and burn-free.

Available in 6" and 8" diameters, all wheels have a 1" diameter arbor hole and include a nested bushing set that allows you to adapt the wheel to fit your grinder. The 1" arbor hole also lets you take advantage of the Raptor R3X Grinding Wheel Bushing for optimum grinder performance. For those who prefer to use only one wheel, we recommend 80 grit for moderate sharpening, 46 grit if you want to reshape tools on a regular basis.
  • 6" x 3/4" Wheels: for grinders with 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8" or 1" arbor sizes
  • 8" x 1" Wheels: for grinders with 5/8", 3/4", 7/8" or 1" arbor sizes
  • Made with Norton's patented SG (ceramic alumina) grain with a K hardness rating

very satisfied

Comments On Oct 28, 2016:a great upgrade for my low grade grinder that came with low grade 60 and 120 grit wheels. i bought an 80 grit replacing the 120, if i had the money i would get the 46 grit as well for faster reshaping of tools. i have used the wheel for several months and use a diamond dresser lightly after each sharpening and have had nothing but good results. the actual mounting of the wheel as with most crappy grinders is the hard part, however craft supplies usa included a very handy "cheat sheet" which made the process much easier. i would personally stay away from the fancy washers and "truing systems" as they are an unnecessary upgrade.. a few small pieces of properly placed masking tape is all it takes.

3 year user says excellent

Comments On Jan 11, 2013:I upgraded to this wheel several years ago and have had far less trouble with heat while getting an excellent result in sharpness. I am purchasing a second one now for a second grinder I just acquired.
