Very easy to use!

Comments On Aug 16, 2016:I like it! Assembled my first pen in there in under a minute. It got me away from the clamps and other crazy contraptions I had build up. Simple to use and takes up very little space on the bench. I will be bolting mine down when I get some extra time.

Comments On Jun 15, 2016:The best thing i bought, if your doing pens this is a must have. I was using clamps to press together, this makes it effortless and speeds thing up , with out damaging anything. YOU NEED THIS!!

Useful piece of equipment

Comments On Feb 23, 2016:Having spent way more money than budgeted to turn pens for gifts (lathe, turning tools, drill press & vise, components, lathe accessories, sharpening grinder, finishing stuff, misc. stuff, etc, etc, etc) I assembled my pens with my bench vise. That mostly worked but was frustrating when a beautiful pen would break. So, I spent some more money and bought this press. It works fantastic and is well worth it. I shouldn't have waited. I highly recommend this press. (It also works pefectly for toothpick & perfume holders.)

Comments On Apr 06, 2015:This little thing is the best one we have ever had!! We have gone through 3 others in the past 11 years. This is the best one we have ever bought. The others have a plastic part ( you know where the tip of the pen goes in) they have all gotten bigger ans time went on making it difficult to use. The pen tips would get stuck and we would have to pull them out!! NOT GOOD!! BUT, this one has a metal one so the hole won't and can't get bigger!! WooHoo!!! Love, love it !!

Comments On Feb 19, 2015:I was using a Quick grip to assemble pens, my hands would cramp up do to the squeezing of the grip. When I got my press I made a couple of pens and just loved the ease of how it worked. Now my son can do his own pens.

Makes life easy - or at least assembling pens

Comments On Nov 27, 2013:I held out for my first dozen pens before buying this press. I figured I could make it work with my bench vise. Nope. Broke two of them - rather costly, when you are still learning to turn pens. The press makes it MUCH easier to assemble, and I love that it has a hole to put the tapered end into to straighten out your pen as you work. Fantastic product, and very well built - it is definitely not some flimsy piece of garbage.

Comments On Jan 22, 2013:I put off buying one of these presses for about 2 years and finally took the plunge and bought this one and it works great..A lot better than the clamps and vise I was using, that is for sure..
Good quality build,does not feel cheap..I have it bolted to my work table so it is good and secure..It has flip up stops that really come in handy when producing a series of identical pens and for setting the depth for transmissions on slimline pens..it works as advertised ..Great product
