Comments On May 09, 2017:I put it off for as long as I could. But I just got 2 large Black Walnut Trees and I knew that I would need all 4 knives. I figure that in the first 8 bowl blanks (4 rounds) the system would pay for itself. More on that later! The coring set is exactly what I would expect from One Way, great workmanship over engineered! If you're gonna do it, get the sharpening jig & extra cutter too. I love that I am not wasting hard to find wood and am putting an enormous amount of stock on my shelves for curing.

Comments On Jul 14, 2015:I thought this item was priced too high, but when i got it and seen how it was built I realized it is really over built. The base is 1/2 inch thick and made from grade 8 steel. The tubes are at least 3/8 inch thick so these measurements give you an idea of what you are paying for. I haven't gotten any knifes yet but I can not wait to try it out. Overall it is a well made piece of equipment!!!

Comments On Dec 09, 2014:Before I purchased this system I had the opportunity to test this and other coring systems. I found this system to be superior for the following reasons:
1) Ease of use;
2) Safer than others;
3) Sharpening / replaceable tip means it will never wear out (always have the same geometric shape / length).
I have thoroughly enjoyed this coring system and never feel "tense" about using it even when coring larger bowls. Right out of the box I was able to get excellent results.
