Designed by Mike Jackofsky, Hollow-Pro™ Hollowing Tools' innovative approach to free-hand hollow turning gives beginner and seasoned woodturners alike the tools they need to be successful. At the heart of the Hollow-Pro™ system is a proprietary internal swivel tip cutter assembly with razor-sharp carbide cutter positioned at a negative angle. This design places the cutter in a trailing position making it less aggressive and easier to control. The swivel tip cutter can be locked in position at any angle you desire and is fully interchangeable between tools. In addition to the carbide cutters, the M4 scraper blade is ideal for making tissue-thin clean up cuts prior to sanding.

The Hollow-Pro™ Straight Shaft Hollowing Tool is useful not only for hollowing, but it also performs exceptionally well for hogging away wood on open bowls and other forms regardless of grain orientation.
  • Hollow-Pro™ tools and swivel tip cutter assemblies are sold separately
  • Includes allen wrench and 2 tightening screws

  • Specifications:
  • 1/2" Tool is 10" long with 1/2" square tool shank

Aggressive wood eater.

Comments On Sep 30, 2014:Combined the straight 5/8" tool with the standard #2 cutter and a Sorby Sovereign 22" handle and counterweight for a very effective hollowing tool. Very aggressive, you want to ease into things until you get a good feel for it. Saving up for the curved tool next.
