Makes Cutter Head Changes Easy

Comments On Jul 08, 2016:I purchased the Sorby TurnMaster that included the three cutter heads. I love the tool. I quickly discovered that I was spending a fair amount of time changing cutting heads in stead of turning. I was always concerned about loosing the screw in the shavings also. I purchased three more heads and put the cutters in them. I saves a lot of time and is simple to change the heads.

Worth having a few of these.

Comments On Nov 20, 2015:I sure like having a few of these. That way I only have to have one tool, but can quick change out the head of the most common tools I use, without having to remove the cutting blade insert. It is so much easier just to twist off the threaded cutter head and then pop in the other shape cutting blade I have already mounted in the cutter head. This way it takes up less space in my toolbox, I can change out very quickly, and I know which side of the cutter blades are the sharp side...because I am not removing them to place the new shape in.
Since it isn't very expensive for a replacement cutter-head. Just due to the time you save...at least for me, my time saved is worth more than the one time cost of this extra tool head. So in that sense....this tool tip should be called a quick change...since that is what it really is. my most commonly used bits, due to the time it saves me not having to change everything.
