Comments On Oct 12, 2021:If you read some of the other reviews about this item they mention that it wears out and is not for heavy use. Think about the amount of heat that is built up when power sanding, so these aren't intended to last forever. Run it without pushing too hard and it will last a long time. I think I got about 5 or 6 months out of mine before it had to be replaced, and that was with use several times per week.

Comments On Mar 15, 2020:I used this for a fairly short period of time. It wore out quickly and failed to hold the disc. I have found a source that lasts much longer under the same use and conditions.
Additional Comments On May 05, 2020:I was contacted today regarding the sanding disc holder and Craft Supplies has issued a credit and is sending me a better quality holder. I hope it works. I am pleased with their follow up.

Comments On Sep 06, 2017:I've purchased a 2" and 3" H&L disc holder for each of the grits I normally use, making it easy to work through a progression. The Apprentice 2" disc holder's hook and loop seems unduly vulnerable at the periphery, resulting in the disc losing grip, exposing the naked H&L to friction, and quickly becoming disabled. Replacement pads are available, but not cheap. The sturdier Artisan upgrade, while pricey, stands up far better. It's worth the difference.

Comments On Jul 03, 2017:I usually keep at least two of these around. I have only worn out one when the surface of the holder wears out. It keeps your fingers and hand at a safe distance from surface of the turning.
