Comments On Oct 06, 2022:After 25 years of hard work, my original VM-120 gave up the ghost. Broke a tooth and it wouldn't tighten anymore. I just bought a new one. I am looking forward to 25 years from this one too! Thank you Craft Supply for my first Vicmarc back in 1997 and my newest one that I just purchased. Great chuck. Holds tight, easy to use, LOADS of jaws are available for it. And it can last 25 years!

Comments On Nov 30, 2020:I started with a Oneway Stronghold chuck and now have 4 of them set up with different size jaws. I use most of them almost every day, with bowls of lots of sizes...something that happens if you core a lot. However, I was impressed by the Vicmarc 120 with really solid, large diameter jaws (6 and 7") for larger platters. It seemed like an indulgence, but it earns its keep. I'm pretty sure all of these will outlive me, with a combination of durability, engineering, and precision machining.

Comments On Sep 29, 2018:I know have 3 Vicmarc chucks. They are far better than competitor brands. Classic case of you get what you pay for. There's a lot of turners that complain about the price of Vicmarc chucks, but you pay for a better hold and a much better product when you buy these chucks.

Comments On Feb 26, 2016:I really like this chuck. I use it primarily with my VB 36 lathe, and bought the 8" 6" and 1.75" shark jaws.
I have a bunch of PSI Barracuda chucks and a Multistar as well as some others. This is by far the heaviest, and well built (not that the others aren't - I really do like the Barracudas for use on my Jet 1642).
I'll be adding either another one of these or a 150. Very pleased.
