I attended a workshop at CS in Provo. Our instructor recommended the apprentice abrasives as his preference over the more expensive products. I am very happy with this product.

While maybe a little more expensive than the "gold" colored abrasive, this stuff lasts at least three or four times longer. Makes for a less expensive product in the long run and works better to boot!

This is a great hook and loop disc holder for the money. It provides great support while sanding and is much more durable than other disc holders on the market. The velcro pad is great quality and holds the discs firmly. Definitely replacing my other disc holders with these.

These green discs seem to hold up very well and stay sharp longer than the gold ones. I don't use these every time, but when I do I'm glad for them.

I use this with the Abranet discs. I can use 5" discs if I want the disc to overhang or move the palm sander around on the disc. I can use the 3" discs if I want an exact fit. I might get several more so I don't have to remove the disc when switching grits.

For several years I have been using "other" sanding discs. Many of the other discs wear out after one use or fall apart during 2nd or 3rd use. By falling apart, I mean the backing coming off. I find the green to be more durable and the ceramic grit does not load up as easily as other discs and can be used multiple times with out the backing coming off. Because they do not load up, sanding is faster. My only complaint is 60 grit is not offered. I find the 80 grit does not tear-out as good as 60 does.
