Dale Nish
Dale Nish -Workshop Director, one of woodturning's foremost woodturners and writers, shares his broad knowledge of woodturning and experience of nearly 40 years with students. Rex Burningham
Rex Burningham, professional woodturner and co-author of Turning Pens and Pencils, Rex will cover all the fundamentals of woodturning on a beginner level, including sharpening, wood selection, tool techniques and project ideas.

Lee Carter
Lee Carter taught woodwork and woodturning for 20 years at Colorado State University and has a broad knowledge of woodturning. His turning classes at C.S.U. have been very popular and were always full. Lee has a great love for turning and is one of the most enthusiastic demonstrators we have encountered.

Paul Chilton
Paul Chilton, an experienced production woodturner and very popular instructor, is very personable with an exceptional talent for making students feel at ease while teaching turning techniques. A protégé of Mike Mahoney, Paul has extensive experience in production bowl turning, bowl coring and general turning techniques.

Kip Christensen
Kip Christensen, co-author of Turning Pens and Pencils and professiotnal woodturner, is well known for his skill and expertise in woodturning. He has a solid command of both technique and design. While Kip is best known for his lidded containers, he is also comfortable working with bowls, vessels, and spindles. Kip is a professor of Industrial Design at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Dale Dallon
Dale Dallon has assisted several instructors including Dale Nish and Kip Christensen. He is a personable and experienced teacher and communicator who strives to teach accurate tool control and quality basic cuts that can be applied to all aspects of woodturning. His 12 years of turning experience have included smooth and natural edge bowls, platters, lidded and finial boxes and goblets.

Kirk DeHeer
Kirk DeHeer, a long time workshop assistant and now resident instructor, Kirk DeHeer has an extensive knowledge of woodturning tools, equipment and turning techniques that will enhance any woodturner's ability level. A very popular and personable instructor, Kirk emphasizes fundamentals including sharpening and tool techniques giving students a firm foundation upon which to improve.

Keith Gotschall
Keith Gotschall, a professional turner and popular demonstrator possesses the unique ability to convey the fundamentals of woodturning to students in a clear, concise manner. Keith understands what it takes to get started in woodturning and is eager to share his experience and techniques with students of all skill levels.

Utah Five
The Utah Five is a five day course that will be taught each day by a different instructor. Possible instructors include: Dale Nish, Rex Burningham, Paul Chilton, Kip Christensen, Mike Mahoney, Kirk DeHeer, and Chris Pytlik. Topics and projects covered include turning natural edge bowls, platters and wall hangings, box making techiniques, hollow forms and various methods of surface decoration on bowls, hollow forms and platters. Proper sharpening techniques, tool use and wood selection are also covered.

Jimmy Clewes
Jimmy Clewes, England, is a full-time woodturner with a teaching studio and workshop at home. He has taught classes in England, Ireland, Norway, Iceland and the USA and is in high demand for demonstrating at the clubs in England. He is experienced in most areas of woodturning and his professional training in art and design allows him to emphasize form, surface decoration and tooling techniques. Mike Jackofsky
Mike Jackofsky specializes in hollow forms, most of which are natural edge pieces made from unique burls. He also turns bowls, including thin, natural edge bowls, asymmetrical pieces, including hollow forms with "wings" and also lidded containers. His classes will emphasize the hollowing process, from turning the shape between centers and mounting in a chuck, to hollowing the form and reverse chucking the bottom to complete the piece.

Mike Mahoney
Mike Mahoney is a full time production woodturner specializing in utility wares, nested bowls and hollow forms. Mike’s work is in many of the finest turning collections in the world. His work has been accepted into many of the top juried craft shows in the USA. Graeme Priddle
Graeme Priddle is an internationally recognized woodturner, sculptor, demonstrator and workshop facilitator whose work is found in many public and private collections around the world.
