April 1983, Craft Supplies began a woodturning workshop program which has evolved into the finest teaching program in the world. We employ the best instructors available and bring in experts from around the world. These artist-craftsmen have proved themselves to be excellent instructors with knowledge and skill capable of producing turnings acceptable for galleries and discriminating collectors.
Equally important is the workshop layout and equipment. During the summer of 2000, Craft Supplies USA constructed a NEW Workshop featuring individualized working areas, more space, state of the art lathes, at-station dust collection, improved lighting and air conditioned comfort.
Hamlet and Henry Taylor tools, and Robust Comfort Tool rests are featured in the tool panels and are supported with all the necessary chucks and accessories needed to provide first class, specialized instruction.
A television camera and color monitors allow participants to view the demonstrations close up, the same way the instructors see the tools and work.
We feel that spending a week in our exceptional program with our quality instructors will allow a participant to learn more during that week than spending a year learning by "trial and error", and the participant will learn correct methods of working.
